An
awareness level meeting on Solid Liquid Waste Management was held on 4th
of January at Jorabat Balaji Mandir in convergence with SBM (G). The meeting
was organised with an objective to sensitize people of Bazaar Committee and
nearby areas on Solid Liquid Waste Management. This meeting was held as an
immediate initiative with the perspective of making people aware of the after
effects of plastic waste and how to manage their waste at GP level to avoid
recurrent flash floods. The Bazaar Committee members were addressed and they
were given a platform to highlight their issues and give suggestion to overcome
their problems so that PHE department can support them in their endeavor. Resource persons from different organizations
were invited for the programme so that they provide with expert view and
suggestions and in the future to support with specialized strategy to the
community and PHE.
