The Union Government has launched yet
another campaign to make India clean. The Swachhta Hi Seva (cleanliness is
service) campaign has now been introduced as a nation-wide fortnight-long
sanitation drive. The campaign will be highlighting Modi government's flagship
cleanliness initiative Swachh Bharat Mission.
A jan andolan for Swachhata to be
observed in the run-up to the 4th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission
(SBM), i.e. from September 15th to October 2nd 2018.
All NGOs, schools, colleges, social, cultural and political
leaders, corporates, government officials, collectors and sarpanches, are
requested to participate in Swachhata Hi Seva and Shramdaan activities
during this period.
During this period the DPMU, Kamrup(M)
has also organised various activity along with PHED, Guwahati Division No-1, in the project areas to fulfil the campaign.
During this period various cleanliness drive, awareness program, Art
competition , Essay competition , Marathon Race, Craft Design competition from
Waste Materials were conducted among the youth in various colleges and
institutions. The top performer among
the competitor as awarded by PHED, Guwahati
Division No-1.
